OMG BEST DAY EVAR!

It turns out the Mid-continental Railway Museum is a mere 1 hour away from us. We went and rode in a 90 year old train car (pulled by a 50 year old engine) for an hour. Turing thought it was the coolest thing EVAR.

We went to visit Mike and Maggie in the quad cities. Go us! Three hours in the car and no one had a meltdown. Phew. I like to ride like this:


We went to the John Deere place and I got to look at lots of cool tractors!
Then we went and saw my very first parade with BIG balloons:



Then I got a little fever and got really tired, so we just hung out at their house:





We even watched some nature TV. It is kind of nice to be a little clueless and be excited to watch the seals (SEAL!) and then just as excited to watch it get eaten (SHARK!):


Woo!




In all, it was a really good trip

Turing has been soaking language up. He's been using some full sentences, and I can finally remember one of them to write down: Where did mommy's water go?

Trick or Treat!

Here he is - warming up for trick-or-treating. Everyone needs a Jawa to mow their lawn, right? He went around the block and filled up his monkey bucket with candy. Very exciting!
