Turing's Birthday Party!

Turing's birthday party was on Saturday - we met some of his favorite people at a farm and did fall farm stuff - looked at animals, rode a "train," played in the corn, rode behind a tractor, picked a pumpkin, went through a corn maze, ate pumpkin cupcakes, and generally had a grand time. Huxley was very well behaved on the outing, too.
Turing was quite worn out by the whole thing. Normally, if he falls asleep in the car, he wakes up when we bring him in the house and he'll need some milk and maybe a book to fall back asleep. Not today. He was in full floppy-wore-out-child mode and slept through me getting his jacket off (and promptly spilling all the corn and rocks from his pockets on the floor). What a party!

Big boy bed!
Today, Daddy put together my big boy bed from Nana and Grandpa. It is a car! I was very excited about it and talked about it all morning. I even get my own pillow, though I don't appear to want to sleep on it.
It only took me an hour to fall asleep for my nap, but I didn't get out of bed at all.

My very cool new sheets arrived this afternoon. This, for instance, is a cement truck:
Tonight, it only took me 15 minutes to fall asleep. That's faster than many of the nights in the crib!
