Wow, it has been a week already.

We've got a pretty good routine at home where Billy takes the night shift doing everything except the actual breast feeding until around 6AM, Janel is totally in charge until Billy gets up around 2PM, and the whole family gets to hang out for the afternoon and evening.

Turing had his first doctor's appointment today and is doing great! He's gained a few ounces over his birth weight and everyone was *very* impressed at how calmly he took to all the prodding and how content he seems in general. Everyone has been well fed in the house, too. We finally figured out direct-from-breast feeding on Saturday. There has also been an army of helpful friends who have been/will be bringing over dinners for two weeks. We know it is all a ploy to get some good one-on-one time with Turing, but mom and dad are subsequently eating far better than they do normally. All's good!
